Well, evidently technologies involving the repositioning of primary nerve clusters so that they may be attached to sensors that detect their electrical impulses have recently been coming to public attention.

Implanting the main nerves that run down the arm into the skin in the chest, then attached to sensors can allow an individual basic use of a full prosthetic arm by thought alone.
